The Coaches

Our club benefits from access to a professional coach and 5 junior coaches. On Sundays these coaches attend sessions to teach foil, epee and sabre. Beginners will, at first, be allocated a weapon, but it is possible to move to a different weapon over time. Each weapon will initially be taught by one of the junior coaches with the aim of getting every beginner to Grade 1 standard by Christmas. Dave Kirby will teach senior sessions. Seniors may request individual lessons between 3pm and 4pm on Sundays.

The previous coach at the club was Jim Amberton who sadly passed away last year. He was a wonderful coach and friend and is sadly missed at the club.
